Format & Location

I currently teach both in person and online.

In-person lessons are available in Amsterdam. Online lessons are available most days via Zoom.

Beginners often benefit from working in person when possible, especially at the start. That said, online lessons can also work well, and many students continue successfully by Zoom. More experienced players usually work effectively in either format, depending on the focus of the lessons.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes. This gives enough time to work carefully, address questions, review practice, and develop material without rushing. For younger students or specific situations, shorter lessons can be discussed where appropriate.

Lessons are usually scheduled at a consistent weekly time. Regular lessons help students build momentum and stay connected to the instrument. Your lesson time is reserved specifically for you, and sessions can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice whenever possible.

Each student receives a shared Google Drive folder where I keep personalized practice notes, exercises, and lesson materials. This keeps everything organized and easy to revisit between lessons.

I also often record lesson concepts and review videos through Zoom or by mobile device during in-person lessons, then upload them to your folder so you have a clear reference for practice.

Rates

Lessons are €62.25 per 60-minute session (including VAT #NL005408804B93). Lessons are billed monthly based on how many scheduled lessons occur that month. For example, a typical four-week month totals €249, while a five-week month totals €311.25.

I also offer a relaxed introductory trial lesson. If you decide afterward to continue with regular weekly lessons, the trial session is included at no charge.
