Format & Location

I currently teach both in person and online. In-person lessons take place in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Bussum, with online lessons available most days via Zoom.

Beginners often benefit from working in person when possible, though starting online works well and can transition later if desired. More experienced students usually work effectively in either format depending on focus and availability.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, as meaningful musical learning needs space. This allows time for reflection, exploration, and the gradual development of confidence and creative independence. For younger students or specific situations, shorter lessons can be discussed where appropriate.

Lessons are usually scheduled at a consistent weekly time. Regular lessons help students build momentum and stay connected to their instrument while still allowing flexibility when schedules shift. Your lesson time is reserved specifically for you, and sessions can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice whenever possible.

Each student receives a shared Google Drive folder where I keep personalized practice notes, exercises, and learning materials so everything remains organized and easy to revisit between lessons. I also often record session concepts and reviews through Zoom (or mobile devices during in-person lessons) and upload them to Drive for later reference.

Rates

Lessons are €62.25 per 60-minute session (including VAT #NL005408804B93). Lessons are billed monthly based on how many scheduled lessons occur that month. For example, a typical four-week month totals €249, while a five-week month totals €311.25.

I also offer a relaxed introductory trial lesson. If you decide afterward to continue with regular weekly lessons, the trial session is included at no charge.
